Sunday NFL Divisional Round Preview

Aaaaaaaaaand I’m back! Now I’m going to preview the two Sunday divisional round games. Not much to introduce here. I don’t know why I’m writing this. Time for the article.

#1 Chiefs vs. #6 Browns

The Browns, just like the Bills, will hope to continue their momentum from last week, but they’ll need a big win. The Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl champs and a force to be reckoned with. Either of the teams will be a Super Bowl contender if they win.

Browns Player to Watch: Nick Chubb

Chubb has had a breakout year this year and is a big reason for their success relative to last year. He was third in rush yards per game and fourth in rushing touchdowns and yards per rush this season. If the Browns win, their run game will most likely be the reason.

Chiefs Player to Watch: Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce has had a huge year this year, that has gone slightly under the radar. Kelce ranks second in receiving yards, second in receiving yards per game, second in yards per touch and fifth in receiving touchdowns. And he’s done that as a tight end.

Prediction: Chiefs 38, Browns 21
#2 Saints vs. #5 Buccaneers

This could be the last chance at a Super Bowl for both quarterbacks. Both teams won pretty convincingly last week and they’ll hope to win again. This game is probably both the best and closest of the week.

Saints Player to Watch: Alvin Kamara

Kamara hasn’t really had an impressive season, but his six touchdown game versus the Vikings shows you what he’s capable of. That game helped him rank first in touchdowns and second in rushing touchdowns. He also ranked third in both yards from scrimmage and all-purpose yards.

Buccaneers Player to Watch: Ronald Jones II

Although the Bucs are filled with star receivers, the player with the most impressive stats is a running back, Ronald Jones. He ranked eighth in yards per rush and tenth in rush yards per game, and also had the longest rush of the season. If Brady can’t succeed with the pass, expect Jones to be busy.

Prediction: Saints 31, Buccaneers 10
